22 January 2026, Sydney, Australia: FNZ, a global wealth management platform, and Centric, the adviser-led investment platform of leading financial advisory firm Findex, today announced the extension of their strategic partnership for a further five years.

The renewed partnership includes a significant program of modernisation to position Centric as a market-leading, adviser-led platform. Delivered jointly by FNZ and Findex, the program will support Centric’s transition to FNZ’s latest market-leading global platform, a scalable and high-performing end-to-end technology solution proven in multiple markets worldwide. This initiative reflects FNZ and Findex’s shared vision to advance adviser-led wealth management in Australia, drawing on FNZ’s global innovation to deliver lasting value for advisers and clients.

The modernisation effort is designed with advisers and their clients at its core. It will deliver a more consistent and innovative platform experience, ensure access to global updates, and bring greater alignment between platform capability and evolving client expectations. The uplift will also strengthen digital-first capability and operational workflows, while setting the foundation for sustained innovation and growth in adviser-led wealth management in Australia.

FNZ will continue to provide end-to-end services to Centric, including execution, clearing and settlement, platform technology, contact centre, administration and custody. This breadth of capability will allow advisers and their clients to access a seamless platform experience across superannuation, retirement and wealth.

As part of this upgrade, advisers are set to benefit from market-leading technology that delivers significant improvements in productivity and efficiency. The FNZ global platform has demonstrated these gains, achieving a 90% improvement in onboarding efficiency. Advisers can be onboarded in just 2.5 minutes, new investors in an average of 4.5 minutes, and personal details can be updated in as little as 30 seconds, giving advisers more time to focus on building client relationships and delivering better outcomes.

FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, today announced the appointment of Dan Gray as Managing Director, New Zealand.

Dan will lead FNZ’s New Zealand business, with a clear focus on delivering greater value for existing clients and supporting future growth. He will represent FNZ in the New Zealand market with clients, market participants, service providers and regulators. He will also lead the New Zealand business’ strategy, commercial performance, client engagement, delivery governance and talent planning.

Standardizing the non-standard in complex pension transfers

Transfers remain one of the most sensitive moments for end-customers and advisors, especially when off-platform assets and multiple parties are involved. Timelines stretch, communication varies, and expectations become difficult to manage.

To continue advancing industry-wide improvement, FNZ hosted a roundtable at our London office with representation from the FCA, TeX, Origo, the Platform Association, and leaders across major providers. The session was co-chaired by FNZ Deputy UK COO David McWatt and Nucleus COO Ross Allan.

The opportunity in front of us

The discussion centered on how the industry can deliver a more predictable experience when transfers fall outside standard digital execution.

Three priorities emerged:

1. Collaboration

Meaningful improvement depends on the industry moving together. Aligning data, processes, and responsibilities across advisors, platforms, custodians, and administrators reduces rework and avoids repeated escalations.

2. Accountability

Every transfer-in begins with a transfer-out. Clear ownership at each stage can materially reduce delays, especially when exceptions occur.

3. Commitment to improvement

Standard transfers are speeding up through automation, but complex cases still create uncertainty. Opportunities highlighted included stronger data validation, clearer expectations for asset types, improved transparency for advisors, and reducing unnecessary case chasing.

The FCA reinforced that transfers will remain a focus area under the Consumer Duty, especially around speed, transparency and customer communications, oversight and accountability, and operational improvement and resourcing.

Next steps

While FNZ and Nucleus have made meaningful progress in reducing timelines, the roundtable underscored the need for continued collaboration to address the most complex cases.

Developed in partnership with leading research firm ThoughtLab, the study draws on insights from over 500 financial institutions representing US$74.2 trillion in assets under management (AuM) across 16 international markets, equivalent to 44% of total AuM held among financial institutions worldwide. This breadth makes it one of the most comprehensive AI analyses in the sector to date.

Key highlights

AI now mission-critical: 73% of financial executives say AI is critical to the future of their business, with 63% agreeing it will revolutionize the wealth and asset management sector.

Alison is a highly experienced and accomplished leader, bringing significant experience leading high-performing financial services businesses and a deep understanding of the UK regulatory environment. In her role, Alison will work closely with FNZ’s Boards to accelerate the company’s strategy and support its commitment to making investing more accessible to more people worldwide.

Alison currently serves as Chair of Mishcon de Reya and Senior Partner at Charterhouse Capital Partners. She was Chief Executive Officer at NatWest Group until 2023, following a thirty-year career at the UK high-street bank where she also held the roles of Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of the Commercial and Private Banking Business. At NatWest, she led large-scale strategic and operational transformation, with extensive experience in guiding a regulated financial institution, driving cultural and organisational change, and delivering sustainable growth.

In addition to her 30-year executive career, Alison has built board and governance experience across the private and public sectors. She served as a Non-Executive Director at Great Portland Estates plc, chaired the McLaren/Deloitte Advisory Council, and held trusteeships and positions with charitable foundations, industry bodies, and taskforces, including Vice Chair of Business in the Community and Co-Chair of the Energy Council Taskforce.

Alison also chaired the Government-commissioned Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship, which delivered lasting reforms to improve access to finance and support for female entrepreneurs across the UK. In the 2023 New Year’s Honours List, Alison received a Damehood for services to Financial Services.

Alison’s appointment brings highly relevant expertise to FNZ’s UK and Group Boards, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strong governance and furthering its mission of opening up wealth and enabling more people to invest in their future on their own terms.

London, New York – 12 November: FNZ, the global wealth-management platform, has secured US$650 million in new equity funding from its institutional shareholders. This provides further financial strength to support its long-term business plan and its commitment to delivering enhanced outcomes for clients worldwide.

The investment comes from some of the world’s most sophisticated investors, including La Caisse, Generation Investment Management, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and Motive Partners, and will be joined by some of FNZ’s most prominent clients worldwide, including Aberdeen Group PLC, Aviva PLC, FirstCape, Ninety One and Nucleus Financial Platforms. This reflects the continued support for FNZ’s long-term strategy, leadership team and the significant role its technology is playing in modernizing the wealth management industry.

This new capital supports FNZ’s credit ratings and enables the company to deliver on its strategy to drive sustainable growth by investing in its technology, people and products, and delivering for its clients.

This year, FNZ has won new mandates and renewed existing partnerships with blue-chip financial institutions across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa. The company has entered a strategic partnership with Microsoft and launched major products based on its proprietary AI to enhance the productivity of client financial advisors.

FNZ UK is pleased to confirm the successful conclusion of the Section 166 review, which was completed in April 2025, and the associated Voluntary Requirement (VREQ), which has now been lifted.

FNZ UK has worked closely with the FCA to strengthen its governance, delivery, risk management and operational frameworks. As part of this process, the business has invested significantly in strengthening these functions, implementing a wide-ranging programme of enhancements, supported by a more experienced leadership team and improved internal capabilities.

Trevor Matthews has retired after more than a decade of service

FNZ has announced that Jon Gidney has been appointed Chair of its APAC Board, succeeding Trevor Matthews who has retired after more than a decade of service. The change marks an important moment for FNZ, recognising Trevor’s outstanding contribution while welcoming Jon to lead the APAC Board into its next phase of growth.

Trevor has been part of the FNZ journey since 2013, first as a Non-Executive Director and, from 2019, as Chair of the APAC Board. Before joining the Board, Trevor was also one of FNZ’s earliest and strongest advocates in the UK, where he was instrumental in introducing the FNZ platform to major financial institutions and helping to establish the company’s first partnerships.

During his time as Chair, FNZ has achieved significant growth and established strong momentum across the region, including securing partnerships with some of the region’s biggest and most respected financial institutions. Trevor has played an important role in guiding the business through this period of expansion and has been a highly respected voice within both FNZ and the wider financial services community.

Jon joined the APAC Board in 2023 as a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. He brings more than 30 years of experience in investment banking and corporate advisory, having advised leading global financial institutions on strategy, capital raising and governance.

In addition, Jon has a deep understanding of FNZ’s business model and the evolving needs of the financial services sector in APAC. His appointment reflects FNZ’s commitment to strong governance and its ambition to accelerate growth across the region.

New York and London: FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, has announced two executive committee appointments as part of its continued investment in sustainable growth and long-term client success.

Ryan Beach has joined FNZ as Group Head of North America, based in Nebraska, reporting to Group President, Roman Regelman. Ryan brings nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience across wealth management, investment platforms and fintech. He was previously CEO of F2 Strategy, and before that, President and COO at Orion, where he played a central role in scaling the business into a nationally recognized wealth technology platform.

In his new role, Peter will lead FNZ Markets, which provides clients with multi-asset listed securities execution, order management systems, post-trade software, and securities clearing and settlement services, alongside foreign exchange and other downstream capabilities.
